3D printed organs are a medical student’s dream come true

The Daily Catch - J-P Mauro - published on 02/07/17

OK, so when we saw the headline we hoped they were going to be functional, but they do bleed if cut. The realistic qualities are really impressive, but we are confident that the practical uses for medical education will allow students to advance much quicker.

While they won’t be implanted into any living body, these 3D printed organs will be used to help students learn what it feels like to operate on real organs, as well as allowing doctors test runs for more complicated procedures.

To this we say, WOW!
