Daily WOW: Artist turns his deceased cat into drone

Bart Jansen is a Dutch artist whose cat, Orville, was hit by a car. After grieving for his loss, his creative side took over and he approached Arjen Beltman, a drone engineer, to help him turn his dead friend into something more… a helicopter:

“Everything is better when it flies. Big trays of salmon salad are better when they’re flying.”

If the Orvillecopter doesn’t do it for you, they have also made an ostrich, rats, and a shark fly. They are even working on a badger-submarine. With all the craziness we’ve seen this summer, Bart and Arjen are a refreshing duo, the kind that makes you check the corner of the screen for an Onion emblem. But never the less we thank them for their quirkiness and look forward to the dog-copter.
