It’s so rare these days to find people who practice the blues, so when we saw Owen Campbell playing the slide guitar on his lap our jaws were floored!
Campbell began his career by traveling the world and playing on the streets. He wasn’t famous and didn’t have a job, but he could play a guitar just like he’s ringing a bell and survived all over Europe and even India on just the money made busking! He became somewhat known when he auditioned for Australia’s Got Tallent, where his antagonistic attitude lead to his failure.
The producers must have sensed that his talent was the real deal so they allowed him to re-audition the following week, this time the more humbled Campbell won a spot on the show.
He wound up losing in the finals of the season, but we’re sure that he’s back on the streets somewhere practicing his craft.
By the way he also plays the banjo!
