None of St. Joseph's words were recorded in the Bible, but his faith model speaks for itself.

The Year of St. Joseph is nearing its end, but the Knights of Columbus are keeping the celebration alive. On October 10, the Knights released a new documentary, St. Joseph: Our Spiritual Father, which explores the role that Joseph played as Jesus’ adoptive father and the spiritual father of the Church. The documentary is currently running on ABC for the next six weeks, with ample opportunity for all to view the hour-long feature.

After the arduous, pandemic-ridden year of 2020, Pope Francis declared 2021 as the Year of St. Joseph. Throughout 2021, the pope encouraged all Catholics to adopt St. Joseph as a model of Catholic faith and a father figure to be emulated. Now, the documentary comes to cap off the year, illuminating one of the most important yet obscured people of the bible.

In the description of the preview, featured above, the Knights of Columbus write:

St. Joseph: Our Spiritual Father is everything one could want from a high-budget documentary. Interviews with scholarly experts are interspersed between beautiful scenes of biblical reenactments. Viewers will hear testimonies from contemporary people with devotion to St. Joseph, as well as learning historical perspectives on the foster father of Christ.

Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly said of the film:

Thanks to a deal with ABC, St. Joseph: Our Spiritual Father will be running over the course of the next six weeks. A complete listing of the airing schedule can be found at the Knights of Columbus website
