In addition to praying for peace, it is perfectly appropriate to pray for protection and deliverance from our enemies. Many biblical characters prayed for deliverance, asking God to drive away their enemies, praying that their lives may be spared.
Here is a prayer adapted from the St. Andrew Daily Missal, invoking God's protection from any type of opposing force.
