Sr. Maria Antonia believes Jesus has chosen her to live as a Poor Clare sister ... and her loved ones see her joy.

What is it like to watch your daughter, your sister, your friend enter a cloistered monastery?

Last October 18, the loved ones of a young woman named Brianna experienced this incredible moment for themselves as Brianna walked through the gates of the Poor Clare Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Roswell, New Mexico. She then received the habit of St. Clare and became Sr. Maria Antonia of the Holy Wounds, a name she loves because of her life-long devotion to St. Anthony.

Sr. Maria Antonia believes Jesus has chosen her to live the vocation of a cloistered Poor Clare sister. In the video below, we are given a glimpse into what it's been like for her friends and family to watch her enter the cloistered life. As much as they must miss her, Sr. Maria Antonia's radiant smile in the video below says it all.

“We’re very happy she’s so joyful,” her mother, Donna, said. “In every picture, she has the biggest beaming smile on her face.”
