On Father's Day, a daughter's handwritten message sums up all that is beautiful about being a parent.

With today being Father's Day we thought we'd share a beautiful message that a daughter wrote for her father in a bid to offer help.

In 2019, an Australian woman named Laura Lux, who was living in Texas, snapped a shot of a sign she noticed hanging on the back of her Uber driver's front seat addressed to all passengers.

The sign read "My daddy is my hero. He is learning your language. Thank you for your patience," and it was accompanied with some cute drawings of the little girl and her daddy.

Lux shared the image on Twitter and understandably the Internet responded positively, pointing out how admirable it is for people trying to work in a second language.

While this is very true, there's something else that is noteworthy about the image: the lesson it provides about building a healthy relationship with loved ones.

It's not always easy to admit we need help, especially to our kids! However, the father is humble enough to point out to both his daughter and his passengers that he needs support and understanding. At the same time, he's also giving his daughter a wonderful opportunity to offer practical help.

Of course, anybody reading "My daddy is my hero" will have their hearts melted straight away, but how lovely to see it written in plain sight for all to admire!

As a little bonus, there's a further lesson to be learned from the hand-drawn image: Anybody sitting in that particular Uber driver's car who might not appreciate the difficulties in acquiring a new language will be given a lesson in compassion from a youngster. And hopefully they'll be able to apply it to others who may also be in need of a little linguistic help.
