The illness of Pope Francis has seen millions of faithful come together in prayer for his healing. A group of youngsters from the Philippines have turned to song in a bid to lend their prayerful support to the Pontiff.
Members of the Young Voices of the Philippines performed A Song of Blessing during a recent concert at the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat in Manila. The song -- written by the choir's music director, Jude Roldan -- was originally performed for Pope Francis at St. Peter's Square in May 2024.
In the video below you can see both performances: the first in the presence of a visibly moved pontiff; the second in front of the congregation in the Filipino abbey.
In both performances the youngsters raise their hands in the air as they sing. But you can see that in their latest prayerful song, it feels all the more poignant considering Pope Francis' current condition.
With group rosaries, songs, and prayers carried out by millions of faithful around the world on behalf of the pontiff, we continue to pray for his healing.
