You may be familiar with Judge Frank Caprio for the impressive compassion and wisdom he showed on his popular TV show, Caught in Providence, that notched up around 500 million views. However, in more recent years, the now-retired judge had been in the news for his battle with cancer.

The 88-year-old was very open about his pancreatic cancer -- finally finishing treatment for the disease in May 2024. Along the way, as he shared numerous posts about his journey fighting the cancer, he asked his many fans to pray for him.

In fact his Instagram account is full of inspiring posts that not only detail his battle, but his outlook. In true Judge Caprio style, it's full of gratitude, compassion, and inspiration.

However, after the devout father-of-five ended his radiation therapy last year, he shared what seems to be his most inspiring moment of his journey, and that is his trip to Lourdes, France, where the Virgin Mary appeared before the young St. Bernadette.

In the moving video that you can see below, which sees the senior fervently singing to the Blessed Virgin, the octogenarian explains the impact the visit to the most popular Marian shrine in the world had on him. And it's certainly worth the time to look at his pilgrimage, as you'll see how Judge Caprio shares the very personal effect the trip had on him, as well as a reminder of one of life's most important lessons.

While it seems there's no slowing the judge down -- he's just published a book, Frank Caprio Compassion in the Court -- we pray for his continued healing, and for all those affected by cancer around the world.
