I'm always on the hunt for quality Catholic listening content for my four kids, and we love these podcasts about the Bible and saints.

As a mom of four podcast-loving kiddos, I'm always on the hunt for great content to fill our ears during bedtime routines, long car rides, or those inevitable “I'm bored” moments.

Catholic podcasts are perfect for enjoying some faith formation while keeping little ones entertained. My kids love listening as they drift off to sleep or do their handwriting practice. And it beats hearing them ask “Are we there yet?” a thousand times during road trips.

Here are some Catholic podcasts I hope your kids love as much as mine do. And for an easy way to listen, check out HeWo, a Catholic audio player for kids (here’s our review!).

1Catholic Bedtime Stories

This delightful new podcast is perfect for winding down at the end of the day. Each episode features soothing stories with Catholic themes that help children feel safe and loved as they drift off to sleep. Read our review here.

2Family Mass Prep on Hallow

Katie Prejean McGrady and her husband, Tommy, host Family Mass Prep, a weekly podcast for families to get ready to hear and pray with the Sunday Mass readings. We love listening to this one in the car on the way to Mass to get our minds and hearts ready to hear God’s Word.

3Catholic Sprouts

Catholic Sprouts helps children understand their faith through bite-sized lessons. The short format is perfect for young attention spans, and the content is so engaging.

4Saints Alive

This podcast brings the stories of Catholic saints to life through dramatic storytelling. Just a heads-up: some episodes contain intense content about martyrdom or hard historical realities, so I recommend this one for ages 8 and up. My 10-year-old now tells me saint facts I’d never heard.

5Shining Light Dolls' Saints Stories for Kids

This sweet, gentle podcast shares saint stories in a way that even my preschooler can understand.

Non-Catholic favorites that still get Mom's approval

While not specifically Catholic, these educational podcasts are family favorites that stimulate curiosity and learning:

  • Smash Boom Best: My kids go wild for these debate-style showdowns between two awesome things (like Hamsters vs. Goldfish or Cake vs. Pie). It teaches critical thinking in the most fun way possible.
  • Brains On!: This science podcast answers questions kids actually ask, like why the sky is blue or how animals sleep. My science-loving 10-year-old is obsessed.
  • Million Bazillion: Money concepts made fun. My kids have learned so much about saving, spending, and even investing. I think they now understand these concepts better than I did as a young adult.

What are your family's favorite Catholic podcasts? I'm always looking to add more to our playlist!
