The president of Caritas Internationalis praises the many people helping refugees in needCaritas Internationalis is small, in terms of operations and personnel, and depends on generous volunteers to assist them in their mission to help the needy. As refugees land on the shores of Greece and make their way through Europe, Caritas volunteers dedicate many hours of their time—handing out food, sorting donations and supporting the many refugees who seek aid. Cardinal Tagle, president of Caritas Internationalis, praised the efforts of all those who are giving themselves so generously to serve their brothers and sisters in need.

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters, you did for me.

—Matthew 25:40
