“Sail On”
“I anchor to your love and fall in arms of grace.”
Meredith Kinleigh is the new artist on the scene, but you wouldn’t guess it from her music. Like many other artists, she got her start at church, active in music ministry from a young age. She still leads worship at her father’s church and usually finds her way back there when inspiration hits, working out melodies on the piano in the church.
Her first album, Beautiful Mess, just hit the shelves in October. The entire album is a story of redemption. “They are very real, very transparent songs. Each song is a different aspect of my journey across different seasons of my life.”
“Sail on,” her debut single, was written in the midst of a difficult time. Just out of high school, she didn’t know what God wanted from her. She was unsure of what do with her life. The answer she received was to keep going. Sail on. Move forward.
“We all face storms. They are inevitable, part of the human experience. We know they will come. But we also know that God will be there with us to ride the storm every single time. Even if water comes in, sail on. Just ignore the raging storm and sail on. God’s love will keep you afloat.”
