Peter Harteveld says his life is normal and wonderful and every bit as valuable as yoursPeter Harteveld is a young man from Holland with Down syndrome, and he has a message for the world: He wants others to know that he is sad about prenatal screening and that people with Down are just as valuable as anybody else. In his speech, which was translated into English, he speaks about his life, his family, his job and his friends. He has a normal, lovely life and wants to add his voice to all those who speak out against prenatal discrimination. A petition is currently circulating at stop discriminating Down syndrome.
