Ada: The Renaissance woman of modern Gospel

“Only You, Jesus” was written during a very stressful time in her life, when her husband faced an ordeal which she likens to Christ’s Passion. As she describes it, this song was her method of warfare against people who tied to “make an innocent man guilty not because he was but because they could!”

This isn’t just a song i sang, it is a song from my spirit, its not just a song i sang, it is my answer! With Jesus, I have no plan B because every time i call upon him, he answers. And He did, He took the shame and pain away and gave Glory, More Grace and Fame, for how can we bow before the king of kings and bow to the whims of men, No Way!!! Indeed We Stand Tall before All Men.

In an interview with Nigerian Tribune, Ada spoke about testimonies from fans who have been touched by her music. One such fan credits “Only You, Jesus” with saving her life:

There was a woman who was going to take her life because of a life-threatening condition she had struggled with for many years. Just as she was about to take her life, she heard my music, and was immobilized till her children came in and saw her in that position.
