A group of young children carry a statue of the Virgin Mary during the Via Crucis, or Way of the Cross, to mark Good Friday in Washington, DC. About 200 Catholics from the Archdiocese of Washington “walked in the footsteps of Christ” and carried wooden crosses and statues through the DuPont Circle neighborhood to the Cathedral of St. Matthew.
