A group of Trappist Monks pray in the Church at Val Notre-Dame Abbey in Saint-Jean-de-Matha. Val Notre Dame is a strikingly modern abbey that rests at the foot of the Coupée mountain away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

The monks continue to search for God, still guided by the Rule of St. Benedict written in the 6th century by Benedict of Nursia, the father of Western monasticism.
