A four-hour conversation about the consecrated life between Pope Francis and a Spanish missionary will be published in a book on December 3, 2018, L’Osservatore Romano reported on October 11.

The Vatican newspaper reports that issues of great interest today, such as clericalism and the selection of candidates for the priesthood, will be covered in “La fuerza de la vocación. La vida consagrada hoy” (“The Force of the Vocation. Consecrated Life Today.”), which will be published in Spanish.

The book was authored by Fr. Fernando Prado, Professor of Mission Theology and of Media and Consecrated Life at the Theological Institute of Religious Life at the Regina Apostolorum School in Madrid, Spain.

The book is based on a four-hour conversation on the topic of the consecrated life that the Spanish missionary had with the Pope in August 2018, shortly before his apostolic journey to Dublin, Ireland.
