One image from the Notre Dame blaze reminds us that hope will prevail

Jesus chooses an uncomfortable throne, but his Kingdom cannot be defeated!

As we await further news from Paris, wondering what has survived the terrible fire at Notre Dame Cathedral, one picture from the destruction is a reminder to hope.

The reign of Jesus cannot be destroyed, even if, as Pope Francis once reflected, Our Victorious Lord has chosen an uncomfortable throne:

The Teacher’s message is clear: While the great people of the Earth build themselves ‘thrones’ for their own power, God chooses an uncomfortable throne, the cross, from which to reign by giving his life. ~ Pope Francis, October 21, 2018
