Join the US bishops in these nine days of prayer, with reflections sent to you via text or mail9 Days for Life is a novena for the protection of human life. Each day’s intention is accompanied by a short reflection and suggested actions to help build a culture of life.

You can sign up to receive the reflections here.

The novena is held on these dates in reference to the January 22, 1973, decision of the US Supreme Court prohibiting states from legislating against abortion up to the point of fetal viability, with other regulation or legalization of abortion left up to the individual states. In practice, this decision has been interpreted as legalizing abortion at any point in the pregnancy the individual state may permit.

The novena is available in English and Spanish, and the full novena can be downloaded at the web site.
