The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines will consecrate all families in the country to St. Joseph on December 8.

To close the special Year of St. Joseph that ends on December 8, 2021, the Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines will consecrate all families in the country to St. Joseph.

CBCP News explains that “consecrating the families to St. Joseph ‘is an act of entrustment to his fatherly care, protection, and guidance. The goal of this consecration is to imitate St. Joseph’s virtue, example, and closeness with Christ.”

The act of consecration will include a Rosary and a set of prayers said by Bishop Pablo Virgilio David at the San Roque Cathedral in Caloocan City.

The event will be live-streamed on social media, and local parishes are encouraged to host a Eucharistic holy hour on the same day.
