Karim Kamar shared his love of music with a very curious toddler who was desperate to have a turn on the public piano in front of a crowd.

One of the benefits of social media is it allows us to witness little moments of joy all around the world. And this was just the case when a classical pianist and composer, Karim Kamar, quite literally lent a helping hand to a curious toddler.

In a short clip on TikTok, the youngster is seen asking the pianist to get up from the public piano at London's busy St. Pancras train station, so he could have a turn at playing.

Kamar, who's played at many prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, gladly got up for the blonde child and helped him on to the piano stool. He then crouched down to perform a duet with his young protege, holding his hand as he picked out the notes to a firm favorite, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."

In the short clip, it's lovely to see the pianist not only take the time to help the child, but also encourage him in his endeavors to play the instrument that must have been larger than life to the tot.

The professional pianist does have a habit of sharing his gift with others, as this further video with an accomplished player that notched up millions of views also shows:

It reminds us yet again of the power of music to unite us, and the joy to be had when generations mingle and pass down their know-how to those starting out--whether it be a musical career, or learning to bake with a loving grandparent.

It's also important to remember just how curious our little ones are, and we should always find a way to encourage them -- even when it tries our patience! -- as they try and make sense of the huge world that surrounds them.
