JuJu Smith-Schuster is known for his impressive skills on the football field. However, away from his role of wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, the 26-year-old has shown that he is using his God-given talents to help others.
In a recent post on Twitter, Smith-Schuster shared what the JuJu Foundation has been getting up to in order to help families this Christmas.
In fact, the player, who is happy to share his Christian beliefs, stated that the foundation had paid off $10,000 in lay-aways that helped over 50 families have a little less financial stress this Christmas.
The wide receiver explained how difficult it was for his family at times when he was growing up. As one of seven siblings there were some Christmases where he had no gifts, or he had to share them with his family.
Thankfully, his fortune has turned around, and now he is able to give back to his community through his foundation, declaring: "Being part of the community is what it's all about."
However, the sports star is also grateful for his position, sharing, "It's just nice that I have an opportunity to be a role model to these kids and to give back to the community."
The foundation's event at Burlington was Smith-Schuster's first in his adopted hometown of Kansas City. Hopefully it will inspire others to find ways to help others over the Christmas season.
