The beautiful region of Borgo in northeast Italy was recently home to a stunning procession that saw its inhabitants come out to honor Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. As the commune is actually home to the Carmelites, a lot of effort had been put into the annual procession.
Heading up the procession was an elaborate figure of Our Lady on a huge, ornate throne. It was held up high by a number of Carmelite friars for all to see. However, during the procession the friars hit a snag when their path was blocked by scooters. Yet this wasn't going to stop these religious from honoring their patroness.
The friars came together to move the scooters out of the way, accompanied by the sound of blaring alarms. After a while they managed to clear the route and the procession could continue with an impressive number of faithful following behind.

Looking at the video, we can't help but be impressed by the friars' determination to clear the path. However, if you consider the motto of the Carmelites -- "With zeal have I been zealous for the Lord God of hosts" -- it seems obvious that nothing would get in their way of honoring the Blessed Mother!
