The actress best known for her role in “The King of Queens” made headlines when she very publicly left the Church of Scientology two years ago. Friday, she had her 10-year-old daughter baptized.

Remini, best known for her role as Carrie Heffernan on the CBS sitcom “The King of Queens,” shared a couple of snapshots from her daughter’s baptism that was attended by some of her immediate family and close friends. “A very special day for our little girl and her Godparents @crabichuk wanted to share with all of you. #baptism #catholic #newbeginnings,” the 45-year-old actress wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of the people present at the special ceremony.

Remini’s husband noted on Instagram:

For the record @leahremini and I have always been Catholic ! Why we waited so long to baptize Sofia ! Hmmm….anyway it was a beautiful experience and our little angel is on her way to a more spiritual existence. God Bless!

Beautiful. Congratulations!
