Meet Tracy Dyke:

“I have a Dickens house tree, a white tree, a food tree, a Husker tree, a sign tree, a black and white tree…a red and green tree.” Trees everywhere you look. Dyke’s love for Christmas came from her grandparents in Hastings, Nebraska. Their home is so decorated, it made the newspaper back in 1972. “My grandfather would come home from work every night and put on a Santa suit and go out to the street and greet all the kids.” said Dyke. She begins decorating on October 1st. However, this year, her health changed things. She had an organ transplant six months ago. “It was a big 14-hour operation and I spent almost a month in the hospital.” She knew decorating would be a challenge. “I needed more help this year. I had a lot of friends and family who helped but I’m very thankful to have been able to do it.” said Dyke.
