Rest is not merely a physical need, it’s a spiritual duty.

Rest is the condition that helps us to avoid becoming a workaholic. God has shown us the way.It is written in Genesis 2:3: Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” God didn’t rest because He was tired, but because if He didn’t rest, He would become slave to His work. The same applies to us.

For a Christian, rest is not a pause to be given just to our hobbies. It has to be more spiritual, profound, and essential if we wish to conform to the creative act that has been passed on to us by God. So, let us remember to rest, as we should, and to say “I don’t want to become my work”.
