When parents are holy and strive for sanctity, their children are more likely to imitate their example. Such was the case for the Quattrocchi family, who were led by Bl. Luigi and Maria Quattrocchi.
When St. John Paul II beatified Luigi and Maria in 2001, he praised their fruitful parenting.
Many of their children went on to pursue religious vocations, but not their youngest daughter, Enrica.
Enrica Beltrame Quattrocchi lived a faithful single life, living in the world. She gave to God her many gifts and talents and sought to love others with a generous love.
According to Vatican News, "She was involved in volunteer work with the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul, with whom she went to the most difficult areas of Rome; in Catholic Action together with her mother; and she devoted herself to teaching. From 1976 she was Superintendent of the Ministry for Cultural and Environmental Heritage."
She led a full life and died at the age of 98 on June 16, 2012.
Her cause for canonization was initiated on April 6, 2018 and Pope Francis declared her "Venerable," on August 30, 2021.
It is hoped that some day she will join her parents as a recognized saint.
