The loving dad-of-four is going to great lengths to ensure his children can thrive.

Being a parent often means making sacrifices for the good of our children and family. And for Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham, this meant a recent upheaval, moving from Hollywood to their new home in the state of Nevada.

According to Fox News, the Father Stu actor revealed to The Talk that he and his wife felt the move out to Nevada would give their kids "a better life."

The hands-on dad-of-four shared how being "able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us."

The couple share four children: Ella, 18; Michael, 16; Brendan, 13; and Grace, 12. Most parents will appreciate that sometimes the teen years can be tricky, and being in the right environment is crucial in raising them effectively.

The actor, producer, and hugely successful businessman also shared how he tries to maintain a healthy work-life balance. "That is the biggest challenge. Every free moment that I have, I'm at home."

"So, we came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there's a lot of opportunity here," Wahlberg went on to say. "I'm really excited about the future."

The devout Catholic also shared that he has big plans for his move to Nevada on a professional level, too. He wants to build a "state-of-the-art studio and make this Hollywood 2.0," while also building a shoe factory, and a factory for Municipal -- the sport apparel company he co-founded.

As he pointed out, he initially moved to Hollywood for his acting career, but most of his films took him far from home, so the move to Nevada won't affect his work in the movie industry.
