The 11 episodes of 'Love Life' offer talking points from some of the most brilliant minds of the pro-life movement.

Respect Life Month is here, and with the March for Life right around the corner there’s no better time to reinforce our ability to champion the pro-life cause with respectful and healthy dialogue. Luckily for us, there’s a new video series from FOCUS that’s educating students and pro-lifers to equip them with the tools they need to be contenders in the abortion debate.

When the US Supreme Court overturned the state court's ruling in Dobbs, and by extension overturned Roe v Wade last June, the landscape of the abortion debate in America changed. Now, as abortion legislation has moved from the federal level to individual states, local communities and college campuses have become the front lines of the evolving abortion conversation.

This new nationwide scope has led FOCUS to launch the new video series as a resource for pro-lifers.

Over the last few months, FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) has released an 11-part video series entitled Love Life. The series provides practical talking points on the pro-life issue, while encouraging students to ask and tackle these tough questions.

While the videos are each brief, lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, they give more than just slogans and rhetoric, delving deeply into Catholic theology, moral philosophy, and bioethics.

Hosted by John Bishop, who plays a huge role in FOCUS’ administration alongside his wife Katelyn, each episode features another esteemed guest speaker addressing a range of aspects of abortion and the pro-life mission.

Dr. Ryan Anderson, for example, explains the personhood of the unborn, while famed campus speaker Kristan Hawkins shares how abortion abuses women.

Other voices include FOCUS Founder and CEO Curtis Martin on the pro-life aspect to the New Evangelization, Fr. Josh Johnson on the Catholic Church’s teaching on abortion, Sister of Life Sr. Maris Stella, S.V., on walking alongside abortion-minded women, and David Bereit on how abortion is more than a religious issue.

In a press release, Bishop explains that the interviews of the Love Life series are extensions of FOCUS’ outreach to the world and culture. He said:

“The Love Life video series is one way FOCUS, through the New Evangelization, intends to positively influence the pro-life movement. We utilize YouTube and other social-media platforms, not as replacements for FOCUS’ important ministry,” Bishop continued, “but as aids to our person-to-person work on campuses and in parishes.”

The entire series comes in at just over 2 hours in length, which means viewers can learn everything they need to take part in the discussion in less time than it would take to watch a Marvel movie.

Visit the FOCUS Catholic YouTube channel to view the entire 11-part series for free. Afterward, visit FOCUS’ dedicated website to learn more about their worthy mission.
