With the help of Caritas sisters, the famous humanitarian chef and his team are feeding those who are fleeing the conflict.

We've often reported on chef José Andrés and the way he immediately goes to help those in need through his charity, World Central Kitchen. Ordinarily we see him in areas that have been struck by natural disaster, but now the Spanish chef has made a more dangerous journey to the borders of Ukraine.

In freezing weather conditions, Andrés and his team are doing their best to serve the displaced Ukrainians, as his recent tweets show:

It's incredible to think that in the little time he's been there, he's already joined forces with Caritas nuns and is serving up hot meals to all those who must be in fear for themselves and their loved ones.

The work of Andrés and all those helping to provide food and support at such a harrowing time is yet another example of humanity at its very best. We pray that all those involved in the mission remain safe.
