Take inspiration from a myriad of meaningful and beautiful names from across the globe for your newborn.

As we venture towards summer, we can expect to see a rise in the number of births. According to the CDC, July to October are the busiest months for midwives as more babies are born at this time of year.

With this in mind we have collated some of our favorite slideshows to address that all-important issue: What to call the little cherub about to arrive in the family. The selection below include some beautiful names, often inspired by some very worthy individuals -- saints from around the world.

So if you'd like a saintly name with a little flair, look no further! (This list is by no means definitive and we've still got other countries to visit, so don't worry, they'll be coming soon!)

Take inspiration from just a few of France's female saints. These pretty names are both meaningful and easy to pronounce.

Look to the land of ancient Rome and select from one of these beautiful monikers. Your little bambina will be in great company if she's names after one of these holy ladies.

Look further afield to these holy women from India, China, Korea, and beyond. While some of the names might be slightly trickier to pronounce, these women often devoted their lives to the poor and defending their religious faith.

Look to some of the Church's earliest saints for your little girl. There are some very pretty names belonging to some courageous and devout women whose faith often meant more to them than their lives.

Choose from one of these beautiful names from the Emerald Isle. Not only will your daughter be in great company, she'll have a name from some very fearless holy women.
