Their witness as joyfully Catholic women in the midst of the world can inspire you in your own vocation!
It’s easy to criticize the problems with social media, but there are real benefits to social media, too. Online platforms can be a powerful force for good.
Education, inspiration, and encouragement in your vocation are just a few of the positive influences you can find online if you know where to look. The key is to be choosy about what accounts you follow. If you follow wholesome and uplifting accounts, you can experience social media as something helpful and encouraging.
I learned this myself recently when I started pruning the accounts I follow on social media. I like to use social media to find inspiration for my work as a homeschooling mom: I copy all kinds of activities, crafts, recipes, and kid-friendly decorating schemes that I find online.
But I had made the mistake of starting to follow some glamorous influencer accounts that left me feeling envious. Unfollowing these accounts did wonders for my sense of peace and restored my social media time to something positive and helpful!
